Two by Maddy Prior

Here is the wonderful Maddy Prior singing two songs:

The first song is a traditional folk song, sometimes called ‘Sheath and Knife’; it is Child Ballad number 16. Maddy’s lyrics are very close to Child’s ’16a’ here.

The second song is called ‘Bewcastle’; I believe it is a Maddy Prior original, but I’d be happy to be corrected if I’m wrong.
